Carbon Neutrality
The estimate of operational carbon neutrality
The estimates presented are projected targets that we aim to achieve. The operational carbon neutrality estimate is based on energy modeling performed in accordance with ASHRAE Standard 90.1 for LEED v4 BD+C certification, with technical assistance from GBI and Lemay. This estimate is based on efficient energy supply, including an energy transfer loop, geothermal energy, heat recovery, and grid hydroelectricity, enabling optimization of the building’s energy performance and low GHG emissions intensity.
In order to achieve operational carbon neutrality, the priority is to reduce emissions, accompanied by high-quality offsetting measures (certified carbon credits). The carbon strategy aims to minimize direct emissions before resorting to offsetting.
Data from the 2024 Carbon Footprint Assessment, currently being developed, will refine these projections. All statements regarding carbon neutrality are presented in good faith but remain estimates that are subject to revision as new data becomes available.
