Inauguration of the Avenue des Lumières
Quartier DIX30 is proud to announce the official inauguration of the Avenue des Lumières, the first tangible milestone in DIX30’s evolution. With an ambitious vision to become the dynamic heart of the South Shore, this sustainable, welcoming, vibrant, and attractive living environment will bring everything together in one place—so people can live, work, play, and enjoy an enriched experience.
The Avenue des Lumières features 120,000 square feet of green space. To enhance the site’s natural beauty, a vast lawn area and nearly 15,000 plants have been added, including 250 trees, 1,700 shrubs, and 12,000 perennial plants. This 100% pedestrian green corridor encourages continuous, fluid, and enjoyable active mobility. Designed as a linear park, it eliminates friction with vehicular traffic, creating a pleasant and safe living environment.
“We’re truly excited to see people enjoying this new space—gathering, exploring, and discovering. Its pedestrian-friendly and welcoming design promises to bring the community closer together—and attract new regulars!”
— Andréanne Caron-Labonté, Les Restos DIX30
“The development of the new linear park has completely transformed the atmosphere in front of Niji Sushi. What was once a concrete, uninviting space has become a pleasant promenade surrounded by greenery and life. We now see people walking, strolling, and enjoying the area—it’s a wonderful revitalization for the entire neighborhood. We’re expecting a significant increase in traffic and an exceptional patio season.”
— Helen Trinh, Niji Sushi
