Outdoors, the incumbent is primarily responsible for overseeing the performance of landscaping contractors and may be called upon to perform hands-on tasks on an ad hoc basis. This role requires a keen eye for presentation and meticulous contract monitoring to ensure that all botanical installations at both properties consistently reflect Carbonleo’s high-end positioning. During the winter months, the Technician will continue with their indoor duties and assist in monitoring the performance of snow removal contractors.

Water, fertilize, repot, prune, and remove damaged or unhealthy foliage;
Apply preventive and corrective treatments for pests and diseases in compliance with Quebec pesticide regulations;
Transport, move, and install plants and planters, including tasks requiring sustained physical effort and the use of material-handling equipment;
Replace plants as needed to maintain a polished and impeccable appearance.
Overseeing Outdoor Areas and Monitoring Contractors
Act as the on-site representative during visits and work performed by landscaping and snow removal contractors;
Inspect landscaped areas and ensure completed work complies with approved plans, quotations, and Carbonleo’s aesthetic standards;
Communicate directly with contractor supervisors to resolve issues promptly and efficiently;
Perform outdoor manual work only when required in exceptional circumstances, such as emergencies, weather-related damage, occasional plant replacement, or temporary repairs pending contractor intervention.
Reports and Operational Monitoring
Prepare regular inspection reports on plant conditions, completed work, and observed issues for the Operations Manager;
Contribute to periodic contractor performance evaluations and recommendations regarding supplier renewal or replacement;
Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs, plant monitoring records, and contractor service files;
Proactively report any replacement, restocking, or repair needs that may affect the appearance or quality of the properties;
Participate in operational team meetings as required.
